Why Ohio College of Massotherapy?
The Ohio College of Massotherapy (OCM) was founded in May of 1973 as the Buckeye College of Massotherapy, a non-profit higher educational institution. The name was changed to the Ohio College of Massotherapy, Inc. in April of 1984. OCM has been teaching massage to students on campus for over 35 years and is the second oldest massage school in the country!
The Ohio College of Massotherapy is an adult vocational education program offered to those who meet our admissions criteria regardless of race, color, creed, sex, religion, age, or national origin. The college was started to meet the growing demand of highly skilled massage professionals. Ohio College of Massotherapy students will be provided with thorough training to enable them to pass the State of Ohio Medical Board exams for licensure. To ensure this, OCM offers small classes, individual attention, caring and qualified instructors, cooperation, and support among staff and students.
The Ohio College of Massotherapy offers the following programs:
ASSOCIATE of APPLIED SCIENCE in MASSAGE
THERAPY
69.5 Credit Hours and 6 Semesters
MASSAGE THERAPY - LEVEL ONE DIPLOMA
46.5 Credit Hours and 5 Semesters
ASSOCIATE of APPLIED SCIENCE in MASSAGE THERAPY - ONLINE
68 Credit Hours and 6 Semesters (Distance Learning)
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will receive a Massage Therapy Associate of Applied Science Degree or a Massage Therapy - Level One Diploma. Students are then eligible to apply for the Massage Licensing Examination administered by the State Medical Board of Ohio located in Columbus, Ohio.
